The main focus on today's WORD OF HIS GRACE and power is Serving the Lord
Romans chapter 12 vs 11.
Not slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
As believers, it's expected of us to be fervent in spirit, be not slothful, in other word, don't be lazy...in the things of God, likewise in whatever you're doing.
And the main focus of this is serving the lord"*....
Note this, and let it sink into your heart. *Serving the Lord is the most important thing for believers to always do here on Earth*, and believe me, it's a privilege to serve God😊. Now, what does it mean to serve the Lord? Tho people have a lot of definitions about this but in short.... serving the lord Simply means *"Obeying his instructions"* coming to that point of *knowing his mind, plans and executing it*.
We can see this in the life of Christ Jesus, throughout his journey here on Earth, everything he was passionate about is to see the kingdom of his father established here on Earth. John 4 vs 32,34 captured this........
John 4:32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
Our Lord Jesus Christ, is a perfect example for us.... To always serve was what he was always passionate about.
Now as we can't neglect the aspect of going to church, being a chorister, an usher, you're a drama member...etc. in as much that all these plays a role, and must not be overlook, we must understand that serving the lord is beyond that.
Service unto the Lord is first of a *"Heart thing"*(likewise the consecration of your bodies, hearts).... And your motives towards whatever you're doing is much more important, in all your service, seek to know his mind,ask yourself, does everything I'm doing is really for his glorification? or it's just for showmanship? Submit yourself to him, and rely on him to reveal the inner motive of all you're doing and trust him for a change of heart. To round it up, do not forget John 4 vs 32,34.... That's what it means to *"Serve the Lord"*.
